Concerned Women Political Action Committee Endorses Pro-life Conservative Congressman Todd Tiahrt for Kansas U.S. Senate Seat.
“Todd is a solid across-the-board conservative who will be a leader in the U.S. Senate”.
Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) announces its endorsement of Congressman Todd Tiahrt for U.S. Senate representing Kansas.
CWPAC is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, which is also affiliated with Concerned Women for America, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.
Republican Congressman Tiahrt (Kansas-04) was the author of the “Tiahrt Amendment” on the Foreign Operations Act (1998) which prevents US tax dollars from being spent on coercive family planning or sterilization campaigns in foreign countries. Todd was also the co-sponsor of the Defense of Marriage Act and the Marriage Protection Amendment.
Congressman Todd Tiahrt is a strong social and fiscal conservative. He is the only candidate currently in the Senate race who has never voted for a tax increase of any kind and has voted against every bailout bill. As a leader on the Appropriations Committee he worked to cut out $122.3 billion in spending in the economic stimulus bill and recently introduced a “No More Bailouts” resolution.
He has gained invaluable experience from serving eight terms as a congressman. He has become so popular with his constituents that in 2008 he won by 64%. It is for these reasons and many others that Concerned Women PAC endorses Todd Tiahrt for U.S. Senate (Kansas).
Concerned Women PAC is encouraging our members to work and elect Todd Tiahrt for U.S. Senate!

Concerned Women Political Action Committee Endorses State Senator Tim Huelskamp for Congress in Kansas First District.
Senator Huelskamp is a proven pro-life leader and led the effort in Kansas for the state Marriage Amendment.
Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) announced its endorsement of Kansas State Senator Tim Huelskamp in his campaign for Congress in Kansas First District.
Concerned Women PAC is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.
The First Congressional district became an open seat when current Congressman Jerry Moran announced he would be running for the U.S. Senate in 2010 for the open seat created by pro-life Senator Sam Brownback, who is running for Governor.
"Tim was already well known to Concerned Women PAC long before he decided to run for Congress. Not only has Senator Huelskamp been a solid vote on pro-life and pro-family issues, he has been a leader,” said Beverly LaHaye, Founder and Chairman of Concerned Women PAC.
“This is exactly the type of candidate we look for; Tim’s a proven legislator who led the effort to pass a marriage amendment in his state, and has shown time and time again that he will do whatever it takes to protect the unborn. What touched my heart the most about Tim however was his personal story. He has lived in the first district all his life, as a farmer, a legislator and a good husband to his wife Angela and four adopted children. I couldn’t be more pleased to endorse Tim Huelskamp for Congress.”
Concerned Women Political Action Committee was started in 2002 to help elect solid pro-family, pro-life conservatives to Congress. Concerned Women PAC sends out a monthly letter to members encouraging them to financially support candidates like Kansas State Senator Tim Huelskamp.

Concerned Women Political Action Committee Endorses Community Activist and Former Gubernatorial Chief of Staff, Ed Martin for Congress in Missouri’s 3rd Congressional District
Ed is a fearless seasoned pro-life, pro-family advocate who will take liberal Russ Carnahan head on
Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) announces its endorsement of Ed Martin for Congress in Missouri’s 3rd Congressional District.
“Ed Martin is a man of strong convictions. He is unafraid to protect the unborn and families and will vigorously fight destructive government policies,” said Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women Political Action Committee.
“We strongly endorse Ed Martin in this race for the simple reason that he is right on the issues for Missouri families and for our country. He isn’t afraid to expose Russ Carnahan’s liberal voting record and lock-step obedience to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her liberal agenda.
“I am convinced that Ed Martin has the strong grassroots support as well as the financial backing he needs to win this race for conservatives.”
Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by Mrs. Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.
The incumbent congressman from Missouri’s third Congressional District is Russ Carnahan. Congressman Carnahan will be running for his fourth term in 2010. Mr. Carnahan’s rating with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) is poor, having voted against the CWALAC position nearly 40 times in a three term career.
· Rep. Carnahan voted for the monstrous government take-over of America’s health care which will fund abortion, ration health care, cause doctors to leave the profession, increase insurance premiums and cripple the country with massive debt.
· Rep. Carnahan voted against the Stupak Amendment which would have prohibited government coverage for abortions in the health care bill.
· Rep. Carnahan voted in favor of the omnibus bill which included an increase of $10 million for Title X funding with the bulk of those taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the U.S. The omnibus bill also gave $103 million to international “family planning” organizations, in effect forcing American taxpayers to indirectly promote and fund abortions abroad.
Mrs. Penny Nance and Concerned Women Political Action Committee’s mission is to elect solid pro-family, pro-life conservatives to Congress. Concerned Women PAC sends out a monthly letter to members encouraging them to financially support candidates like Ed Martin.
